Sunday afternoon with DXing

Initially I had to be with friends on Mount Tomba(over Verona city) for the contest in Vhf, but a series of circumstances I was unable to attend Sunday afternoon I managed to release and accomplice, a beautiful day I decided at the last minute to go out and make some links, after a long period of inactivity. In fact I wanted to go on Monte Maggio, but after a forty minute walk, I face a beautiful place where to attack the fishing rod and begin operations radio all strictly in telegraphy. It was also the occasion to test my new filter to 500 Hz, which helped me a lot. I started in Qrp, receiving good signals with only 5 Watts from across Europe. Then, with sundown I managed to put a log two DX. The first qso with YB42AR, a station special Indonesian (new one for me!), the second with V51AS from Namibia. Only drawback, the gentleman in question is known for being a collector of $ Americans, and not responding to QSL sent. I don't think that I will be posting the QSL … I don't want to increase his collection. Other beautiful note was the QSOS with IT9TZZ Giovanni from Messina. I had the pleasure to discover on air, a friend, both fond of dxing bc we were members of a group now loose ten years ago.
