Ham metting

Ecco la foto dell'incontro tra tre om trentini e l'amico PD9RAY sul luogo del nostro DX Campo.Da sinistra:IN3ADW,PD9RAY,IN3YKS,IN3HUU.

30 mts & QRP e friends

The idea turned already from some time. To organize an escape in company for the Scarpon Radio (www.aritn.it), and to dedicate themselves to the construction of a simple gp for the wonderful band of the 30 metrers(oasi for the cw).
So, 16th July I and Luca in3huu have gone to the Viote of the Bondone, locality to some km from Trento.On the place we have covered the path that carries to the “Bocca della Viona”, a green height with sight on the below Valley of the Laghi.With of our equipment, we have proceeded to cut I draft it, and after repeated cuts finally we are resolutions to calibrate it on the ros just! Some space for radial and I was ready one in order to begin to sound the band. Disconsolate from a very bad propagation they are launch to me in a cq to which it has answered for first OM3DA from Slovakia, which passed a rst to me 599.Very good nonbeing has not been a qso with a great QRB but I transmitted with 5w! I continue to launch others cq and receiving from DL, TK always good reports. There are ourselves alternated with Luca in3huu, he with “half wave vertical dipole ones” but on phone in 20 meters. Unfortunately we disturbed ourselves, the two stations were to 15 meters of distance and necessary we have had to transmit half hour per head, I in cw he in ssb. Towards the 19:00 after an express they appear we are come down to valley and we have waited for the arrival of an other friend: Nicola in3adw. It was our intention to find calm, fresh a place (in city were 37°C. ) to transmit the evening hoping to make some DX.after various choises we have planted our “DX Camp” in the middle of a green, hoisting the antennas ( vertical one for the 30 and its for the 20), in DX hunting.
The propagation just for the sake of to change has not helped us, and little have been the truly worthy QSO of famous. A CE in ssb and JA in cw outside with hard work. Towards the 21,30 we have had the pleasure to receive the visit of a friend of Nicola besides known in radio! PD9RAY and spouse, which were found in vacation
in Riva the Garda! So between calls and the other we have chatted with our friend a likeable and estramamente funny person. Towards midnight we have taken apart all, tires but happy of a beautiful afternoon/evening, passed to walk, to cut threads, to call cq, to burn radios no. .that's not… :), and to strain us to speak English with pd9ray!

L'idea girava già da qualche tempo.Organizzare un'uscita in compagnia per lo Scarpon Radio (www.aritn.it), e dedicarsi alla costruzione di una semplice gp per la meravigliosa banda dei 30 metri(oasi per il cw).
Così, venerdì 16 luglio io e Luca in3huu ci siamo recati alle Viote del Bondone, località a qualche km da Trento.Giunti sul posto abbiamo percorso il sentiero che porta alla "Bocca della Viona", una altura verde con vista sulla sottostante Valle dei Laghi.Muniti della nostra attrezzatura, abbiamo proceduto a tagliare lo stilo, e dopo ripetuti tagli finalmente siamo riusciti a tararla sul ros giusto!Un po' di spazio per i radiali ed eccomi pronto per iniziare a scandagliare la banda.Sconsolato da una pessima propagazione mi sono lanciato in un cq al quale ha risposto per primo OM3DA dalla Slovacchia, il quale mi passava un rst 599.Ottimo nonstante non sia stato un qso con un grande QRB ma trasmettevo con 5w!Poseguo lanciando altri cq e ricevendo da DL,LA,TK sempre buoni rapporti.Ci siamo alternati con Luca in3huu, lui con una "half wave vertical dipole" ma in fonia in 20 metri.Purtroppo ci disturbavamo,le due stazioni erano a 15 metri di distanza e giocoforza abbiamo dovuto trasmettere mezz'ora a testa,io in cw lui in ssb.Verso le 19:00 dopo un rapido spuntino siamo scesi a valle e abbiamo aspettato l'arrivo di un altro amico: Nicola in3adw.Era nostra intenzione trovare un posto tranquillo,fresco (in città c'erano 37°C..)per trasmettere la sera sperando di fare qualche DX.Detto fatto, dopo diversi sopraluoghi abbiamo piantato il nostro "DX Camp" in mezzo a un prato,issando le antenne (la mia verticale per i 30 e la sua per i 20), in caccia di DX.
La propoagazione tanto per cambiare non ci ha aiutato, e pochi sono stati i QSO veramente degni di nota.Un CE in ssb e un JA in cw tirati fuori con fatica.Verso le 21.30 abbiamo avuto il piacere di ricevere la visita di un amico di Nicola (tra l'altro conosciuto in radio!) PD9RAY e consorte ,i quali si trovavano in vacanza a Riva del Garda!Così tra una chiamate e l'altra abbiamo conversato con il nostro amico una persona estramamente simpatica e divertente. Verso mezzanotte abbiamo smontato tutto, stanchi ma felici di un bel pomeriggio /sera, passato a camminare,tagliare fili, chiamare cq,bruiciare finali(no..questo no...), e sforzarci di parlare inglese con pd9ray!

Ascolti di Roberto Pavanello.Quello che vedete nell'immagine è la copertina dell'Almanacco Co.rad 1994.Il Coordinameto del Radioascolto Co.rad, era una "federazione"tra vari gruppi di radioascolto italiani che annualmente univano nell'almanacco i loro bollettini.Fondato nel 1984, nel 1994 festeggiava i suoi 10 anni di attività.In questa edizione vi è pure un mio articolo su una stazione delle liberia.Sembra ieri e sono passati 16 anni..come vola il tempo....

Sull'ultimo numero di Radio Rivista,mi ha particolarmente colpito l'articolo di IK0VSV intitolato: il giro del mondo con 500 Milliwatt.Non sono solito a ossequiose recensioni volte a incensare qualcuno o qualcosa ma devo dire che l'articolo in questione mi ha piacevolmente colpito.Cerco di riassumere per chi non puo'leggere quest'articolo pubblicato a pag.26.L'autore racconta le sue esperienze "estreme" nel Qrp,descirvendo come tecnicamente abbia realizzato dei trasmettitori per le varie bande con componenti recueperati da vecchie radio o elettrodomestici.In ricezione Marco utilizza in portatile il noto ricevitore Sangean at909.Non mi dilungo nei particolari tecnici delle sue realizzazioni ma come ripeto quest'articolo mi ha portato ad alcune rifelssioni.Per prima cosa mi ha fatto rivedere un radioamatore vero.Cio' uno che da solo si assembla una stazione, utilizzando tecnica, ingegno e materiali di recupero.Una pratica un po'desueta oggigiorno,piu'presente quaranta o cinquanta anni fa, quando un radioamatore doveva per forza ingegnarsi per costrurirsi qualcosa che lo potesse far trasmettere.I tempi sono cambiati certo,oggi siamo tutti utenti più o meno di apparecciature commerciali.Neanche il sottoscritto, sa costruirsi un tx.Pero'permettetimi di esternare la mia amirazione verso coloro che lo sanno fare e ci riescono.Sono convinto che quando ci si costruisce un tx, un'antenna o quant'altro, inevitabilmente si ritrovi il vero spirito radioamatoriale.Lo stesso che porto' Marconi a inventare il telegrafo senza fili,e che negli anni ci ha portato ai cellulari a internet.

Sunday afternoon with DXing

Initially I had to be with friends on Mount Tomba(over Verona city) for the contest in Vhf, but a series of circumstances I was unable to attend Sunday afternoon I managed to release and accomplice, a beautiful day I decided at the last minute to go out and make some links, after a long period of inactivity. In fact I wanted to go on Monte Maggio, but after a forty minute walk, I face a beautiful place where to attack the fishing rod and begin operations radio all strictly in telegraphy. It was also the occasion to test my new filter to 500 Hz, which helped me a lot. I started in Qrp, receiving good signals with only 5 Watts from across Europe. Then, with sundown I managed to put a log two DX. The first qso with YB42AR, a station special Indonesian (new one for me!), the second with V51AS from Namibia. Only drawback, the gentleman in question is known for being a collector of $ Americans, and not responding to QSL sent. I don't think that I will be posting the QSL … I don't want to increase his collection. Other beautiful note was the QSOS with IT9TZZ Giovanni from Messina. I had the pleasure to discover on air, a friend, both fond of dxing bc we were members of a group now loose ten years ago.

Pomeriggio con il DX

Inizialmente dovevo essere con gli amici sul Monte Tomba per il contest in Vhf, ma una serie di circostanze mi ha impossibilitato a parteciparvi anche la domenica .Il pomeriggio sono riuscito a svincolarmi, e complice una bellissima giornata ho deciso all’ultimo minuto di uscire e fare un po’di collegamenti, dopo un lungo periodo di inattività. A dire il vero volevo andare sul Monte Maggio, ma dopo una quarantina di minuti di cammino, ho viso una bel posto dove attaccare la canna da pesca e dare il via alle operazioni radio tutte rigorosamente in telegrafia.
E’stata l’occasione anche per testare il mio nuovo filtro da 500 Hz, il quale mi ha aiutato molto. Ho iniziato in Qrp, ricevendo buoni segnali con solo 5 watt da tutta Europa.
Poi, con il calare del sole sono riuscito a mettere a log due bei qso extraeuropei .Il primo con YB42AR, una stazione speciale indonesiana (new one per me!), il secondo con V51AS dalla Namibia.Unico inconveniente,il signore in questione è noto per essere un collezionista di $ americani,e non risponde alle QSL inviate. Non credo che gli invierò la QSL…non voglio incrementare la sua collezione.Altra bella nota è stato il qso con IT9TZZ Giovanni da Messina.Ho avuto il piacere di ritrovare on air, un amico di vecchia data,entrambi appasionati di radioascolto bc eravamo membri di un gruppo ormai sciolto dieci anni fa.
